4. GENERALIZATION

*what is gender?

             Gender is the quality of a noun that denotes sex. Nouns like man; boys, priest, dad, and grandfather denote the male sex. They belong to the masculine gender. Nouns like mom, woman, and jenny denote the female sex. They belong to the feminine gender. Nouns like church, unity, and ramp denote neither of the sexes. They are in a neuter gender.

Masculine nouns usually have equivalent feminine nouns. Study these examples on how to identify the feminine equivalents.

  1. Know the exact words that refer to the male or female.

Example:

Masculine                   nephew    –    the son of one’s brother or sister, or one’s brother-in-law

Feminine                     niece         –   the female counterpart of nephew

  1. Change the suffixes.

Some of my personal interests that take up the rest of my existence (other than the university life)are shopping together with my friends,listening to music,watching t.v,spending my time to the beach sometimes and reading pocket books.reading a great pocket books about a historical, true and inspiring story is extremely rewarding for me.
life for me is pretty busy.i tend to occupy my self all the time and make sure I’m doing something productive.
